Happy Tuesday Friends!
I’m getting a late start to my blogging week but I needed a day to take it all in! Phil and I spent some time exploring our neighborhood, found a fun farmer’s market, and enjoyed a lovely brunch on the water. There is a cute little wine bar a few blocks from us that we both agreed we’d love to check out for Happy Hour. On Friday we were two of the first people through the door and found two stools on the corner of the bar – it didn’t disappoint. The small plates were tasty but the wine selection is what had the bar near maximum capacity 45 minutes after opening its door…we’ll definitely be going back!
Another new gem we found was a weekend farmers market set up just beyond the park at the bottom of our hill. We were headed over that way for brunch and stumbled upon a whole foods mecca…organic produce, meats, eggs, cheese, baked goods, etc…it was heaven. Even though I could’ve explored the market for the rest of the morning we had a brunch reservation to get to and I had been looking forward to it since before we even arrived in San Francisco.

My aunt and uncle thoughtfully gifted us a certificate to Green’s Restaurant, Fort Mason’s bayside vegetarian hot spot. We decided on brunch so we could peacefully take in the views and indulge in a little Sunday Funday cocktail. Phil and I picked a quiet table in the back of the restaurant by the window and were immediately taken by the view. Of course the food was wonderful as well: I had a mushroom and leek omelette, Phil had a Tex-Mex scramble and we washed them down with a blood orange mimosa and bloody mary – YUM!!!
As if we hadn’t had enough fun this weekend, we’re heading to Cotogna for dinner tonight….BUT I’ve got to get a lot done first!!
‘Til next time, keep smiling! 🙂
