Pure Beauty

…and just like that without a sound, the blooms came forth & life began…springflower
Don’t forget to notice the beauty of nature, happiness is all around us as long as we remember to look!
Pose-A-Day: As predicted Kurmasana (Tortoise) was quite a challenge but it all worked out…can’t wait until I can clasp my hands…so close! Today’s Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog) is an ‘oldy’ because we do it a million times a practice but a ‘goody’ because I love its versatility – work, rest, or stretch DFD does it all.

Bulu Box and Life’s Blessings

I feel particularly blessed today!

The sun is finally shining, temps. are up to 46 (I NEVER thought that would bring me such a thrill), and I had a lovely lunch with the ever inspiring Kristin Ritter of Nourishing Storm. While we aren’t able to get together nearly as much as we’d like, it feels like no time has passed every time we do. I feel as though we could spend hours talking in circles about life, love and the journey we’re each on but alas, I can only take an hour for lunch!

In other exciting news, my first bulu box came today!!! buluI came across this site randomly during my typical health and wellness searches online and was intrigued by the premise. There are a ton of similar companies, but for the price I thought I would give it a try. Plus, I am familiar with a lot of their affiliated brands/spokes people, so I felt comfortable enough to give it a whirl. Each month I will receive a few different wellness samples and coupons for purchasing full size versions of the products I like.bulu1

As I use each of the products, I will post my feedback in the hopes to inspire all you other wellness fanatics out there to mix it up! I don’t know about anyone else but I find myself getting into a routine with the same products when there is a whole world of wellness to enjoy!

Has anyone else tried bulu box before or something similar? How did you find your experience?

Stay well & Happy Thursday!

Just look up

Happy Friday! ImageMy girlfriend sent this shot to me the other day and I was totally inspired. While I think we can all agree there are many majesties in nature, very rarely do we simply look up and admire the sky.

Obviously people marvel at a beautiful sunset when the sky is lit up with many magnificent hues or when the sun pierces the darkness as it begins to rise, but what about the middle of the day? Perhaps I am alone but I often take the sky’s beauty for granted.

Especially this weekend, I am going to make a point to just look up and take in the infinite blue!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Fall love

ImageHappy Last Day of September!! I love that the trees are slowly starting to change colors and crisp mornings are followed by beautifully breezy afternoons! Treasuring the coming weeks before its too cold to frolic outside should be on the top of everyone’s priority list!

September can sometimes be a crazy time, at least for me! There’s lots of change going on and sometimes its easy to get caught up! No matter what you’ve got going on this fall try to take in the beauty of nature and always remember you are loved. There is an indescribable comfort that comes from a quiet walk outside when the colors of the leaves turn from green to shades of red and yellow.

Take a moment this week to feel the fall love!

Smell the Flowers

sunshine
Simple but true, getting sunshine daily is amazing for you! I know its hard with busy days at the office to take a quick jaunt outside but the Vitamin D and fresh air can do wonders for your mood, skin and overall well being.

Forget the fact that getting outside and taking in some rays helps improve your peace of mind and your ability to have a restful nights sleep, Vitamin D is essential to many bodily functions.

Taking in Vitamin D helps lower blood pressure, boosts your immune system, lowers cholesterol and has many other healing benefits!

Not like I need an excuse to go outside but knowing the health benefits makes me that much more likely to take a break in the day to smell the flowers!

Change it up!

Just like the header of my blog (did ya notice, no more Big Sur?!?), its always good to change things up, keep them interesting and branch out!

I know the header of my blog isn’t THAT big a change but its a perfect example of my point. When I started the blog I wanted a peaceful, natural image and that was the best one I had. The image was shot by one of my colleagues, Vince Piecyk, and I always meant for it to be temporary. The newest image I’ve added was also shot by Vince but the colors, life and natural feel of the flowers/foliage resonate strongly with my personality and the message I’m trying to send. For me, there is still a sense of peace in the chaos!

Finding peace and happiness in the chaos of life is exactly what I strive for and I find that keeping things interesting, by changing it up, helps me accomplish just that.

There are so many ways you can make little changes in life to keep things interesting. In my opinion, we all are guilty of becoming complacent in our routines and could stand to spice it up a bit.

Whether its a change in your workout routine, a change in the color you paint your nails, a change in the cuisine you choose when dining out, whatever…just change it up!
